Project description

The project began as an interactive flash as part of my degree work. It was one of my earliest experiments with Actionscript. The original work included scanned paper, drawn animations, and distorted videos, for a non-linear animation. This was designed as an installation piece, due to the large file size caused by the videos.

I returned to the project as I wanted to experiment further with Flash. This time, I was keen to use Flickr to support my scanned images, and this was done using a customised Flashr script.

I enjoy the hand crafted, tactile quality of the work, which seeks to evoke childhood memories or scrapbooks, collage, and found images. The idea of "finding" an image to collage is supported by the use of Flickr to find images.
